Chang's Movie and TV Career

In addition to his extensive knowledge in martial arts, Stephen has also captured the attention of the movie industry, appearing in many famous Hollywood movies, TV series, and commercials. His first significant appearance was in 1978, when he starred in a national Coca Cola commercial as Bruce Lee, and was later cast next to Sylvester Stallone as the Vietnamese Commander who captures Rambo in the 1981 movie, Rambo - First Blood. Stephen also has 3 comic roles to his credit - showing us he has a funny side, too - as well as premier roles in international movies, including Slow Burn (UK), Left Side of the Fridge (French), and Le Turbulence Des Fluides (French). Besides his many movie roles, he has also made several guest star appearances in major television series, such as The X-Files, Kung Fu, The Twilight Zone, M.A.N.T.I.S., Seven Days, and Danny Devito's 2001 series Undercover. More recently, he has also done voice overs for some cartoons and computer games.

His two most significant starring roles came when he was cast as a WW II military leader in the Mandarin 1990 top hit International Rescue and in 1994's Double Happiness -- a movie that film critics Siskel & Ebert gave "Two Thumbs Up!" and that went on to win 7 international awards and 2 Genie awards. The film also landed Stephen on Variety Magazine's "Best Leading Actors" list.

On our Facebook page, you can see many pictures of Chang's appearances in TV shows, commercials, and movies. We also have some video clips of some of his movie and TV appearances, as well as an interview and his entry on the International Movie Database.
